By middle school, Kori garnered a reputation for strange behavior and was bullied because of it. The main culprits were Marie and whoever she deemed a friend at the time. It wasn’t until Clara transferred to her school that she made a true friend. However, because of her closeness with Kori, she faced the same bullying. Kori felt responsible for it, so she tried to shield Clara from it as much as she could.
